frame sale and more art!

jenn pan

there was a frame sale at michaels this week, so we splurged a bit and bought a bunch of frames for some of our unframed artwork, and put up just some of those (we kind of forgot to buy hanging supplies.... silly us).

getting the artwork off the floor.

we have a ton of artwork laying around. some framed, some not. we haven't put any of it up yet because we intend on completely re-doing all the walls in the house eventually (uhm, no thanks on the painted wood paneling!). however, last night we finally decided to bite the bullet and start cataloguing what frames we need to buy (it'a quite a lot) as well as just throwing some up the artwork up on the walls.

we didn't measure, we didn't plan, we just did it. so that there would be something on the walls, and a little less on the floor. we only got a few small things up, and the placement looks a bit awkard, but it's a start.

finally a bed in the guest bedroom.

wooo, check it out! we finally cleared out enough space in the guest bedroom to lay down the box spring and mattress! we really haven't done much to the house lately, mostly trying to do more unpacking, and making room for things. it's at the point that we'll need to start buying more furniture before we can unpack any more, because we're out of places to put things. plus, not spending money for a little while is nice, too.

also, we moved the bookshelf that went from dividing the living/dining rooms to sitting on the other side of the dining room into the guest bedroom as well.

and yea.. the other side of the mattress.. still pretty crazy and full of stuff. mostly art work. we have more artwork than we have wall space. oh well. we're still making progress!
