purchased: front patio lighting.

we bought these allen+roth wall sconces at lowe's over president's day weekend. they are technically indoor wall sconces, but we loved them so much, and the location they are going outdoors is right outside the dining room, and there is still another five feet of covered patio, so we figured they won't really be that exposed to the elements.

we own a house!

a hundred-year-old one at that. this lovely craftsman house was built in 1913, and we just bought it. and it needs a lot of work. and we're very excited to get started.

we know it's going to be a labor of love over the next five to ten years, but we truly believe that it has the potential to be the home we've always dreamed of and the home we grow old in.

from here we hope to document and share our progress - we have weekend projects to do for many years to come!
